nustar energy owns 8700 miles of pipeline across the globe and 79 facilities that store crude oil and similar liquids. in 2019, an explosion of two ethanol storage units caused a 15 acre wildfire in the town of its crockett location, hidden in the hills of east bay, california. conceived as a landscape film in the style of james benning.
