MAPAGO

Overview

Between the beat of funk and the so-called ancestors of the Pantanal, MAPAGO follows Serena, a young Guató indigenous woman who dreams of being a singer, and her mother, Fagunda, a woman marked by the exile of her people. Living on the outskirts, mother and daughter go through illness and lack of resources until the spiritual presence of a jaguar connects past and present, bringing out the strength of female ancestry as resistance and belonging.
