VISIT TO A COLLECTOR Johannes Mikkel was one of the most prominent art collectors in Estonia. His collection consists of more than 600 items. In 1997, the Mikkel Museum opened in the former kitchen building of the Kadriorg palace. The room installation Visit to a Collector is an attempt to help visitors to understand the personal aspects of the exhibited items, which belonged to a private collection within the collector's home, where every item had its own place and story. The documentary provides the visitor to the collector's room with a glimpse at Johannes Mikkel's actual home.
