When Rhiane finds the courage to reveal her identity to her mother, she is confronted with a rejection that forces her to reckon with the meaning of acceptance, family, and self-worth. In a home where love and understanding do not always speak the same language, Rhiane must find the light to recognize herself beyond the expectations imposed upon her.
