Overview

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a fictional shared universe centered on a series of superhero films produced by Marvel Studios, based on characters and storylines from Marvel Comics. The universe was further expanded through various television series. Much like the Marvel Universe in the comic books, this shared world was established through crossover elements, settings, cast members, and characters. It also belongs to an officially recognized multiverse alongside other comic, film, and animated franchises.
