Overview

In 1999, the Metropolitan Museum of Art sparked fierce debate over the authenticity of a Chinese landscape painting. A hiker ventures into nature in search of hidden realms, while modern architecture is increasingly filled with planted landscapes. Drawing on these disparate fragments of nature, the film poses a question: is there still a need for us to argue over authenticity in our present era?
