Overview

The snowstorms of Mount Buzhou never cease. Zhú Jiǔyīn, an ancient crimson serpent immortal, has been imprisoned there for a thousand years under the laws of Heaven. In the depths of a bitter winter, a nine-year-old orphan named A Fei braves the mountain in search of a way to save his gravely ill mother. Moved by the boy’s sincerity and stubborn determination, Zhú Jiǔyīn accepts him as his one and only disciple. He devotes himself to protecting A Fei and teaching him mystical arts, and the once-cold prison gradually begins to feel warm because of the child’s presence. Years later, while trying to protect his loved ones, A Fei becomes entangled in a power struggle among the human elite and is brutally persecuted to death. The anguish and obsession born from his disciple’s tragic death shatter Zhú Jiǔyīn’s seal. Breaking free at last, he descends from Mount Buzhou and vows to overturn the human world and make those responsible pay in blood for the death of his beloved young disciple.
