Goodbye, Eri
1h 0m
Overview
A young boy named Yuta begins filming his mother with a DV camera at her request, documenting her final days. After her death, he turns the footage into a film and is met with ridicule from his classmates. He eventually encounters Eri, a mysterious girl who shares his fascination with filmmaking. Together, they begin creating a new film, gradually blurring the boundaries between reality, fiction, memory, and cinema. This Chinese fan-made live-action adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Goodbye, Eri expands and reinterprets the original manga while preserving its central meditation on filmmaking, grief, memory, and the subjective nature of truth.
