Overview

Cameroon, 1914: King Rudolf Duala Manga Bell chooses the path of resistance—not with weapons, but with the laws of the German Empire. Together with his ally Adolf Ngoso Din, he is charged with high treason and faces the death penalty in a courtroom in Douala. His childhood friend, District Commissioner Hermann Röhm, stays away from the trial. Instead, merciless representatives appear – the last thread of personal hope is torn apart.
