Overview

A story about tradition and cultural revival. In 1947, in Călărași, a city almost entirely destroyed by the Second World War, a popular music orchestra was born, almost paradoxically for that period, which was to become a symbol of Călărași, but also of authentic folklore - “Ciobănașul”. In 1978, the director Vlad Plămădedeală captured the charm and authenticity of this ensemble in a documentary film “Ciobănaș”.
