Best Time (2023–2024) turns its attention to both Amanda Heng’s own life and the lives of others beyond the familial sphere. Set in Naoshima, Japan, and Singapore, the video follows the everyday routines of women who care for their homes, prepare for harvest, and walk as part of their daily practice. The camera lingers on repeated gestures rather than dramatic events, quietly observing the rhythms through which life is sustained.
